Rui grew up in a family obsessed with excellence. His mother wants at all costs to make him and his eldest Yugo perfect interpreters of classical music. But, more than playing, the young boy loves composing! A melody has always been running through his head, and a mysterious voice that resonates within him advises him, guides him, criticizes him... constantly encouraging him to improve his work. The budding composer, far from worrying about it, feels comforted by this presence.
When the grandfather of the two boys arrives to check on their progress, the atmosphere becomes more oppressive than ever. Rui is interrupted in his creation, ordered to stick to the scores. As for Yugo, he refuses to play and gets slapped! The beloved big brother rebels and leaves home, leaving Rui more alone than ever...
