Imagine our planet completely destroyed and at the mercy of dragons who have become masters of the world. This is the frightening starting point of Rob Bowman's film (X-Files, the film). In 2008, in London, Quinn, then a child, discovers a dragon in an underground passage. He flees and kills his mother. Twenty years later, dragons rule the Earth. As an adult, Quinn joins the military Van Zan to face the creatures of fire in a final fight.Reign of Fireis an incredible story that achieves the feat of mixing war film with heroic fantasy. The dragons are realistic thanks to surprising special effects and have never been so well put in pictures. The reconstruction of a London in ruins, set on fire and bloodied by dragons, is impressive, as are the many suspenseful scenes during which the actors Christian Bale and Matthew McConaughay, both at the peak of their form and their talent , battle the fire-breathing critters. A great show.--Marc Maesen
