But their engagement was broken, because of the political conflicts. To enjoy the hospitality of the King of Blue Sapphire, Flare must complete a mission: escort Guiche's younger brother, Nier, to the Red Ruby Kingdom. Leaving Primavera and Aishera behind, Flare hits the road with a new group consisting of Nier and Richelle, his holy knight. Together, they must cross a hostile desert populated by dangerous monsters and hunted by adventurers. While they stop in a city, Flare is taken to task by a group of adventurers who accuse him of having stolen their prey, and especially the reward which was associated with it. As compensation, their leader tasks Flare with an unusual quest: to stop a powerful and out-of-control martial artist whose actions are tarnishing the reputation of the guild.
