In the distant future, civilization is on its decline. Freshly landed from Rome, the young priest Abel Nightroad, is welcomed at the Saint-Matthias church in the town of Istvàn. Despite the apparent calm that reigns in the streets, the town is in the grip of troubles which oppose the terrans to Lord Guyla, a Methuselah, the race of vampires who appeared during Armageddon. During the night, the church is attacked by a vampire in the pay of Gyula and Abel must intervene to protect Esther, a young novice. He then reveals his true strength, that of the krsnik, a vampire capable of feeding on the blood of other vampires...!!
