Brand new King Knut's army has landed at Ketil's domain. Far from admitting defeat, Ketil gathered his troops to defend his farm. But without real military training, the peasants are no match for the fearsome Jomsvikings. A murderous madness descends on the farm. For their part, Thorfinn and Einar, who have finally won their freedom, decide to leave everything with Leif to found, in Vinland, a country where peace will reign. If Einar is tempted to leave without looking back, Thorfinn is not. The latter remains furious against Master Ketil since he killed Arneis.
